OPEN FORUM (The public is invited to address the Council on any topic that is posted on this agenda. Citizens desiring to speak on Public Hearing(s) must do so at the time the Public Hearing(s) are opened. In order to speak during Open Forum, a person must first sign in with the City Secretary prior to the Regular Session being called to order. Speakers will be called upon in the order in which they sign in. Any person not signing in prior to the commencement of the Regular Session shall not be allowed to speak under Open Forum. Further, Open Forum is limited to a maximum of 30 minutes. Should speakers not use the entire 30 minutes Council will proceed with the agenda. At the majority vote of the Council the Mayor may extend the time allotted for Open Forum.)

CONSIDER APPROVAL OF ITEMS BY CONSENT (Consent items are deemed to need little Council deliberation and will be acted upon as on business item. Any member of the City Council may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda and placed before the City Council for full discussion. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager, or a designee, to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendation.) 1. Consider approval of the following City Council minutes: a) October 24, 2017 regular meeting 2. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to approve the FY 17-18 payment to the Northeast Transportation Services Urban Transit District, in the amount of $72,840, for operation of an on-demand transportation service. 3. Consider a resolution authorizing the Mayor to certify the Equitable Sharing Agreement and Certification as required by the United States Department of Justice.
4. Proclamation recognizing the 2017 Fire Safety Poster Contest Winners.
The following individual has requested to speak to the Council tonight under Persons to be Heard: a) Dana Carpenter, 1901 Lexington Place, Bedford, Texas 76022 – Request to speak to the Council regarding the prosecuting attorney and code compliance.
Consider an ordinance to name the street leading into the Library from Bedford Road, U.Z. Jernigan Drive; describing such street; repealing all ordinances in conflict herewith; providing a severability clause and declaring an effective date.
Consider a resolution of the City Council of the City of Bedford, Texas approving an Economic Development Program Agreement, pursuant to Chapter 380 of the Texas Local Government Code and the City’s Economic Development Incentive Policy and Program, with Texas Family Fitness of Bedford, LLC.
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into an agreement with Laboratory for Advanced Medicine, Inc. (LAM) to provide blood testing for all certified firefighters as an early detection for cancer in an amount not to exceed $10,200.
Consider a resolution of the City of Bedford, Texas, canvassing the returns and declaring the results of the bond election held November 7, 2017.
