Consider Approval of Items by Consent
(Consent items are deemed to need little Council deliberation and will be acted upon as on business item. Any member of the City Council may request that an item be withdrawn from the Consent Agenda and placed before the City Council for full discussion. Approval of the Consent Agenda authorizes the City Manager, or a designee, to implement each item in accordance with staff recommendation.) 1. Consider approval of the following City Council minutes: a) January 9, 2018 regular meeting 2. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase 40 tables and 210 chair glides from Business Interiors in the amount of $19,480.16. 3. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with OverDrive Digital Library Reserve Consortium in an amount not to exceed $10,000 annually. 4. Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to purchase mobile radios from Motorola Solutions in the amount of $37,427.11 utilizing the Tarrant County 9-1-1 P25 Assistance Program Funding. 6. Consider a resolution calling for the General Election of City Officers for the City of Bedford, Texas for May 5, 2018; authorizing a joint contract election agreement and contract for election services with Tarrant County; and establishing the dates and times for early voting for such election.
Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to pay annual dues to Northeast Fire Department Association (NEFDA) in the amount of $28,889.00 for fire protection and emergency response services.
NEW BUSINESS Consider a resolution authorizing the City Manager to enter into a contract with GovernmentJobs.com (DBA: NEOGOV) to provide automated applicant tracking services in the amount of $12,216 for the first year and $9,841 for subsequent year(s).
Consider a resolution of the City Council of Bedford, Texas authorizing the submission of a grant application to the Assistance to Firefighters Grant administered by the Department of Homeland Security, Federal Emergency Management Agency’s Grant Programs Directorate; and appropriating funding in an amount not to exceed $22,500 if the grant is approved.
